Roseco is the bioplastics platform of Thai Wah Public Company Limited, which has worked with cassava for over 75 years across 15 operations in five countries. That is why the chain runs from the farm gate to finished film without leaving the group.
It also means the material came out of a research programme rather than a trend. Eighteen full-time researchers, three research institutes, and an agri-biotech platform spanning biomass, bioplastics, bio-composites and biofertiliser, working from genomic sequencing at the feedstock end through to the finished film.
